Custom Software Development for Toronto Businesses

Software built around the way your business works.

Codebytes builds custom software for Toronto businesses that need to connect quoting, scheduling, customer records, inventory and day-to-day operations. Based in Hamilton, we work with businesses across Ontario on systems shaped around their people, processes and existing tools.

That can mean a customer website connected to your internal systems, a web or mobile app for your team, or desktop software that works with business equipment. We start with what the software needs to accomplish.

When your requirements need a closer look

Your pricing may depend on measurements and material rules. A confirmed order may need to create several production and installation steps. Your software may need to communicate with a payment terminal or equipment you want to keep.

These details shape the system. Codebytes works through the business rules, integrations and exceptions before building the tools your team will rely on.

If another supplier has struggled with part of the project, bring the requirements and what you have learned so far. We can review the difficult parts and discuss a practical way forward.

What we can build

Explore quoting, scheduling, customer follow-up, inventory and payment and hardware integrations.

Quoting and estimating: calculations, measurements, pricing rules and the handoff from accepted quote to scheduled work.

Scheduling and job tracking: staff assignments, production stages, dispatch, approvals and visibility into progress.

Customer and staff tools: CRM workflows, customer portals, booking websites, dashboards and internal applications.

Inventory and integrations: material workflows and connections between existing software, payments and business equipment.

Arris Stone — from drawings to quotes and scheduled work

The build combines a browser-based drawing and layout tool with pricing rules, saved quotes and an order workflow. Accepted orders create material, fabrication, templating and installation events, with calendar and agenda views to coordinate the work.

Built: web application, visual layout editor, quoting logic, order workflow, scheduling, database and integrations.

Depot Dash — connecting customers, drivers and facility staff

Customers book pickups and manage their accounts through the website. Behind it, the platform connects route planning, driver workflows, bottle counting, payout handling and administration, keeping each pickup connected to the customer it belongs to.

Built: customer website and portal, staff web application, mobile driver interface, route planning, intake tracking, notifications and payout workflows.

Klarity Car Wash — replacing software around existing equipment

The project replaced unsupported software while retaining existing car wash infrastructure. The build brought payment terminals, kiosks, RFID, equipment controls and operational reporting into the replacement system.

Built: POS and kiosk software, payment and hardware integrations, equipment control and web administration.

A practical scope for your business

We start by understanding the workflow, the current tools and the parts that are causing difficulty. From there, we can identify what needs to be built, what can be connected and what is worth keeping.

The first release should have a clear job to do. Where the project allows it, a phased build can address that priority before adding further workflows. Scope, integrations, testing and support needs are discussed as part of planning.

Working with a Hamilton-based developer

Codebytes serves Toronto businesses from Hamilton. Workflow walkthroughs, demonstrations and project reviews can be handled remotely. Projects involving physical equipment need their access and testing arrangements worked out during scoping.

You do not need a finished technical specification to start the conversation. An example quote, spreadsheet, workflow or explanation of the problem is useful.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you build websites and apps as well as software?

Yes. A project can include a business website, customer portal, web application, mobile app or desktop application. The right format depends on who will use it, where they work and which systems or devices it needs to connect to.

Can you work with an existing system?

We can assess integrations, extensions or a replacement around the parts worth keeping. Access to the current system, its data and any equipment affects what is possible.

How much does custom software cost?

Cost depends on the workflow, integrations, data migration, testing and support involved. We need to understand those requirements before proposing a scope and price. If the work can be phased, we can discuss what a useful first release would include.

Are you based in Toronto?

Codebytes is based in Hamilton and serves businesses in Toronto and across Ontario.

Ready to talk through the workflow?
